May is Military Awareness Month

Dr. Chanda Nicole Holsey, Founder, HALO for Families, attended her Congressman’s (Ted Yoho FL-03, Clay County) Town Hall meeting and asked if his office had anything planned to acknowledge and celebrate the military for #MilitaryAwarenessMonth during May—especially for families and spouses (as we serve too!). The answer to her question is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0cnZVrRpv5o Congressman Yoho and his staff also confirmed that he still has her children’s books for military families on display in his D.C. Office. Please purchase a book for a military family by clicking the “store” tab — you can support a small business and support and celebrate #MilitaryAwarenessMonth simultaneously. Cheers!

2017 International Cultural Fair at Chimney Lakes Elem School

Today Dr. Holsey of HALO for Families had the distinct pleasure of presenting at the International Culture Fair at Chimney Lakes Elem School, Jacksonville, FL for the third consecutive year. She was able to read her children's books, discuss the importance of servicemen and women to our nation, talk about where they are stationed across the globe, as well as talk about the number of military installations we have nationally and internationally. Finally, Dr. Holsey asked all of the children to color a picture and write a note to send to our troops overseas. HALO for Families will mail them to our troops in honor of National Military Appreciation Month! Remember to thank a serviceman or woman for their service at all times, but especially during the month of May! Cheers! #NationalMilitaryAppreciationMonth
