“Health Disparities, Health Equity, and Social Determinants of Health” Training

Dr. Chanda Nicole Holsey, Founder, HALO for Families, contracted with the California-Nevada Public Health Training Center to provide a training entitled “Health Disparities, Health Equity, and Social Determinants of Health” on Thursday, August 4^th, 2011 at the San Diego – Health and Human Services Agency, Rosecrans Health Services Complex.

Dr. Holsey covered topics on health disparities, health equity, and how they impact health; strategies for eliminating health disparities, and roles of the public health workforce in addressing disparities.
